Not to me because that just makes you all the more awesome xD See my fave is MGMT, my best friend's is The Strokes, so yeah it reminds me of that whole situation :D

I love MGMT, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys too!! (I hope you were referring to Monkeys with the "AM" :D) I heard that The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys will be at Benicassim 2011, anyone here going?

Hmmm... I'm not a huge AM fans... But I've heard that a lot of people who love MGMT also love Interpol (I'm one of them), and it actually surprises me... when you think about those two bands. At first, I thought I was the only one

Yes! I've seen this w/ a lot of people. I think it was because AM was influenced by The Strokes. early on they'd play their songs. they covered "take it or leave it" on tv too. that's how I found out about The Strokes actually! It was on youtube, and it linked me to The Strokes playing at the classic $1 MTV show, and I was blown away. at first I was sad cause I thought they were an old band from the 70s (cause of the lighting), but then I was very happy to find that they were still pretty young and still making music

Oooh Benicassim has had great line ups in the past. I think I'd piss my pants if I saw AM and The Strokes on the same day. And I mean that figureatively haha. But I really doubt I'd get to go, unfortunately. I'm not fluent in Spanish either

I think they're all chill

Yeah, I know AM covered The Strokes, and that's great.
Haha, luckily the $1 MTV show wasn't in the 70's but it really looks old. But still it was back in the days when MTV was still about music...
The guys have super skinny legs in that show :D

I think I'd also piss my pants (for real) if I'd go to Benicassim and see them both, but I'm not going there either, even though I have some Spanish skills ;)

Sad thing is that the Strokes concerts are really crowded so if you'd want to hear them you'd probably have to miss everything else. And even more after comeback and new album!

Another funfact: Nikolai & Albert like MGMT ;D
