A self titled album is wayyyy over due.  I hope it sounds less like Congratulations and more like oracular spectacular.  Although if they keep changing how they sound while still sounding like MGMT that would be the best.

I doubt that it is going to sound like either congratulations or oracular, but don't let that get your hopes down. Guggenheim and Alien Days together show us what the boys are capable of this time around.

"Alien Days" strikes me as extremely similar to the stuff on Congratulations. I actually sort of hope it doesn't make the album, sort of like how of Montreal played that song pseudo-funk style called "Sails Hermaphroditic" live post False Priest, but it didn't end up signaling what the next album sounded like (or making the album at all). I'd like a truly new direction from a band as well-read musically as MGMT is, but I'm starting to ramble.
