In my town, they're playing at a park just a few minutes from our house, hbu?

^That sounds like fun Emma!

My next gig is technically House of Blues (MGMT) but I'm trying to sort out Lolla.  It's really stressful trying to decide but I want it firmed up before I go.  I don't want to be standing around going, "Uhhh...what should we do?"  The HBIC is anal.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hopefully Vampire Weekend & Beach House in like.. October. And maybe Neon Indian too but I doubt it cause I can't go to concerts back-to-back on school nights! haha that would be a big stretch

Outside Lands
Do you live in the Bay Area, Summer?
No, i live close though
I figured you were in LA from other posts. Are you in the Sacramento area? (I lived there most of my life.)
Yeah, around sacramento, have i talked to you on facebook?
No, I have a facebook page but never use it.
but you were at the oakland show, right?
Yes. I'm older and pretty introverted, so I was too embarrassed to try to arrange to meet anyone from this forum there.
ahhh! no
Don't know what the connotation of that is supposed to be... Sounds negative...
Like,no who gives a shit about age you seem awesome...that kind of no
Oh! I completely mis-read that. You've made my day. SmileySmileySmiley
Any plans to see any shows in the Bay Area?

These kids have embraced me and let me be one of them.  It's awesome going to shows with them!  The first one who asked me for my facebook was Caitlyn and I was so hesitant...she was like, don't worry about it.  I met her last week and I can say I truly adore that girl.  The first forum member I met was Jonny.  We were front row for MGMT together and then we me the boys after.  Then  met his mom!  He joined us for the Chicago show and now his mother is letting me take him to Lolla.  I think MGMT is going to continue to gain "older" fans because it's just really, really good music like we used to know  Grin

Smiley You are such a nice, smart, charming, generally great person; it's easy to understand your being liked by any and everybody.
I totally agree about MGMT gaining a fanbase among older folks. Congratulations is a really great album and is informed by lots of great music.
