Future Games
« on: June 29, 2012, 04:11:49 AM »

Good day MGMT Fans and otherwise,
-USERS OF THE INTERNET-
Feast your ears on our cover version of Fleetwood Mac's track "Future
Games" which we recorded for the forthcoming tribute Just Tell Me That
You Want Me, an album featuring many wonderful artists that will be
released August 13 in the UK and August 14 in the US of A. Our version
is equal parts Haacked flight of fancy and attempted Escape From New
York and is comprised mostly of first takes of improvised electronic
musings. The song was written by the late Bob Welch (R.I.P) and
originally clocked in at 8 minutes and 21 seconds. When it first came
out, in the early 1970s, this would have been considered a "bathroom song."
Through natural male enhancement techniques, we've
made our version even longer and bigger, measuring exactly 9:11 (never
forget).
Yes, this was on purpose.
We are currently making a new album.

I'm going to be honest here and say that I don't think MGMT did Fleetwood Mac justice on this cover. I love everything MGMT does, but this, THIS IS TERRIBLE.

For those of you who don't know what a "bathroom song" is, they're referring to a list of songs that radio disc jockeys could, um, accomplish certain tasks and return to the studio before the song ended.

I said I am so very happy listening to it, meaning I love it. I said I love the vocals too. I will press play again at a convenient time in the day. I love everything they do and could see why some people dont like it, but just like i now love Lady dada's Nightmare, its proven I will like anything no matter how experimental they choose to be. the more experimental the better ;D

That's cool ...I'm just interested in what everyone's opinion is on this.  As a big fan of Fleetwood Mac ...I am truly disappointed :(
