Roxy Music
« on: April 22, 2012, 07:10:53 PM »

Well, this is the place to share music and I like that really much, since I'm here, I've been introduced to a lot of wonderful music, not even mention that MGMT always makes me know great music of all times and that's fabulous.

I will invite you to listen to this exceptional piece of music that came to this world in the early 70's. I'm in love of the two first records eventhough they have a pretty long and interesting career until the 80's.

Brian Ferry
Graham Simpson.
Phil Manzanera
Andy Mackay
Paul Thompson
Brian Eno
Eddie Jobson

(and others during the time and on live performances)

It is interesting how many bands seems to be connected during this decade, because they were trying to work with different musicians and producers of others bands and things like that...

Roxy Music - Ladytron

Roxy Music - Remake Remodel

I'm making a huge sacrifice for you, you're making me stop playing Sigur Rós and Jónsi for the first time today. Props to you!

Yes, for me they put together a big amount of different kinds of music, bands like this make me hate even more the "music styles" thing. A lot of web pages and reviews speak about them like glam music, wtf is that? maybe they look glam.. that's not the same...

I've loved them since college. One of the most amazing 80s bands.

I love "Roxy Music"(1972) and "For your pleasure"(1973)(the two first records maybe more 70's vibe) then you can check out "Avalon". Also Bryan Ferry solo career can be interesting at some point

They are creative and experimental, such an amazing band. They are still on stage these days...I can't remember but I think that they are playing with the original bass player(insert the name), Bryan Ferry and Phill Manzanera. And on May they will be perfoming with John Wetton (king crimson bass player) and the whole band in London! that's so cool!!, I would sale an arm to be there.
