This is MGMT's second visit to Mexico and first since they swept through the country for three shows in the fall of 2008, including the MotoRkr Festival in Mexico City.  They are ready to celebrate the penultimate year of the Mayan calendar in the most fitting place!

I really enjoy her music.  The songs are strong enough for me to forgive the manufactured image, although I am still confused at why anyone would want permanent duckface.

MGMT / Re: Metanoia vs Siberian Breaks

Yay for breaking the tie for the moment :) Siberian Breaks is my favorite MGMT song.  Although I enjoy both, I prefer the tempo and lyrics of Siberian Breaks to Metanoia.

The Show / Scalpers & Guggenheim Show
« on: October 18, 2011, 05:09:28 PM »
It has come to our attention that there are a few scalpers trying to sell tickets to this show at an inflated price.  As this show is list only, with no hard tickets, we strongly advise you to avoid buying from these people as the odds are very good that you will get ripped off.

For those wondering about the set, this won't be the show to attend if you are wanting to hear album tracks.  This WILL be the show to attend if you want to see a one of a kind performance by the band with unique material that will not be heard again elsewhere...

The Show / Andrew @ John Wesley Harding's Cabinet Of Wonders in NYC
« on: September 16, 2011, 06:21:02 PM »
Tickets are still available to see Andrew at John Wesley Harding's Cabinet Of Wonders in NYC on 9/23.  You can grab some good seats here.  Here's the info:

After a sold out first season, John Wesley Harding's Cabinet Of Wonders returns to City Winery for a second season this fall. The original Cabinet of Wonders were precursors to the modern museum; a microcosm of the world itself. John Wesley Harding's Cabinet of Wonders does much the same, with added rock'n'roll.

These shows, featuring a host of specially invited guests from the worlds of comedy, literature, arts and music realms, have something for everyone. The Cabinet of Wonders show is a sure-fire way to engage with an eclectic group of talented performers.

September 23rd Line up:

Jami Attenberg
Todd Barry
Eleanor Friedberger
Andrew VanWyngarden
Tony Visconti
Dan Zanes
Joe Pernice
