This makes me so happy!

The fact that we're seeing them together again!!!

The last time we saw them was a historic day in life

It so was. I see they're playing there again :)

They are!  I already have my tickets and I'm so excited!  Last time I had tickets to see them I ended up selling them because it was on the same night as parent-teacher conferences.  I was bitter for months.

It came on while I was driving in the convertible with the top down. I think that the naysayers just don't get Muse.

And I simply don't get how the naysayers exist!!!  I'm glad they're returning to their rock roots.  The electronic stuff was not my favorite.

Can we talk about it?  It comes out in June and they're ditching all the orchestra and electronic stuff they've been doing the last couple of albums.  What do you think of the first single?  I'm so excited for this album!

Here's the link to it since I can't remember how to embed YouTubes on here  ::)

So Abbers and I are booked for this.  We're staying with Caitlyn.  Who else is coming for sure?

MGMT were playing in the lovely chocolate shop I like to visit...chocolate and MGMT, two of my favourite things, even it it was Electric Feel!  ;) Made me think of my birthday last year when MGMT had just been released, and I realised that if the third album was a child, it'd be walking by now...time passes so quickly!

Chocolate and MGMT!!!  Okay, if MGMT had a Ben and Jerry's flavor, what would it be called, and what would be in it?

Okay, well I've been on the bathroom floor puking all afternoon, but I'm going to take a stab at it.  MGMTea Time:  Green Tea ice cream with dark chocolate chucks and electric eel gummies.

Perfect! I definitely feel like there would have to be gummies or sour candy of some kind.

Your Life Is a Pie: key lime pie ice cream with chocolate crust pieces, a butterscotch swirl, and a shit ton of sprinkles.  :o :o :o

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner!!!

Dang, I want some MGMTea Time!

We can have them both!

Always!!  Bubbly?  Do they have Ben and Jerry's down in your hemisphere?

No, i feel left out  :'(

My bad!  This is where I got the idea of an MGMT ice cream
i have no idea how to post a pic so heres the link...

THAT IS INCREDIBLE. Did you make that?!
yes! haha i made it on photoshop! thanks for getting the pic up, and the idea!!!

That really is awesome

This deserves to be quoted, again.

Everything about's just so right!!

The one time (so far) I've gotten to hang out with lala, was at a show in Indianapolis. She walked up behind us to stand in line, and I knew. I don't know how I knew but I knew. All I remember thinking is "Quick Dakota, don't be a wuss. Try to start a conversation and figure out if you're right." At that point I was fairly new here still am, fuck it and had never seen pictures of this remarkable human specimen. But it worked. I knew and as we were talking, I could see she came to know also. (It was beautiful. I think I might just shed a tear.) Anyways, we hadn't exchanged names and she said "you're Dakota aren't you?!" And in the midst of smiling and replying "I knew it" I found myself in an embrace that was so warm, it will be told in my story book of friendship for the rest of my life. And that's how it happened. You fucking rule woman.

This gives me the chillies.  That's the power of lala!

Setting off on a 5 hour journey to visit one of my favorite people!

Happy Birthday Will!  MGMT would not be MGMT without your stellar drumming skills.  Enjoy the day!

A)  I had NO idea Metallica was playing Glastonbury.  I miss those dudes and am very jealous of the Brits.
B)  LOVE that Kids video!!!

i saw.
he knew who she was.

"One time, Lala met Andrew, and he told her she was famous."

So the obligatory Happy Rivaversary everyone!  I quoted this same post a couple of years ago, but it just always makes me laugh, especially 4 years later as I think about all that has happened.  I've traveled a lot of miles and I've seen a lot of shows since this one, but it's still the best show I've ever seen.  The setlist was impeccable (and my signed setlist has survived).  The baby that Abbers and I made during Kids is now 3 years old.  I read the thread again and smiled the whole time.  What a cherished memory this is!

I can't believe it has been 4 years.  This was my first of many MGMT shows, so it holds a special place in my brain and heart!
