It's nice. I like those background vocals. Reminds me a bit of something off Congratulations, or maybe like a bridge between Congratulations and Self Titled.

I'm gonna let this one digest.

This here article confirms all the collabs, and says Patrick Wimberly co-produced the whole album. Wowwowwee!

Hmmm looking at the credits on shows lots of involvement from Ariel Pink and even Sebastien Tellier on backing vocals?! Is this legit?

Also Patrick Wimberly from Chairlift?

So a couple of questions/observations:

1. I hope this was filmed in a castle that they bought with their rock star money. #lifegoals

2. I hope this is just life now in the castle.
Andrew: "What are you up to later?"
Ben: "I think I'm just gonna head back to the castle."
Andrew: "Nice."

3. Who's the lady musician? New band member or just aesthetically relevant?

4. What is said lady playing? I don't recognize that box at all.

Hmmm... a lot of folks are mentioning the cure, but methinks there's been a bit of inspiration from Nivek Ogre for this look.

Music / Re: of Montreal's very own topic..

I want to say that I like it. I know there are a lot of mixed reviews around...

Quite a few of the songs aren't exactly mind blowing, but I love "Your riotous defects", "Like a tourist", "Enemy Gene",  "Famine affair", "Casualty of you", and "Around the way". That's a pretty good load of awesome  songs. Most others on there will probably grow on me slowly, as happened with Skeletal Lamping.

Nobody should write off False Priest just because it sounds somewhat different. I'm sure of Montreal know what they're doing. Very excited to go see them in Seattle next month! :)
