Music / Between the Buried and Me

I have two favorite musical groups that are still alive and making music. MGMT and BTBAM. This is because they make profoundly beautiful and different music, and aren't afraid of pushing something strange into the ears of the mainstream masses. blah blah blah. I wish I had time to make a venn diagram.

This band is so incredibly talented! They are world class musicians that could make any type of music they want, and that is what they do.
They are similar to mgmt in that way, and in regard to lyrics. very empowering and mystical lyrics that must be read more than once.
Yes, at first the vocals are harsh and incomprehensible. But i believe that, not unlike mgmt, they are that way for a REASON! That reason being that it urges you to actually read the lyrics.

This is not a metal band. This is something special, i promise.
Most of their songs are 6-10 minutes long, and a lot of the time the music is so abstract and intricate that it's hard to follow... but wait, here's where the payoff comes! The songs break into soft, psychedelic, melodies that seriously hit me deep. I haven't heard a band this inventive since Pink Floyd.

Start off by listening to Their album of cover songs, titled "The Anatomy Of"
Between the Buried and Me - Us and Them

Between The Buried and Me - "Mirrors"..from 2009's "The Great Misdirect"

Between the Buried and me - Swim to the Moon (Full Song)

Then I highly recommend their album "Colors" which is one giant song.

THANKS YALL
